Prologue
29th August
JC in seattle gets a call, from Jade Eagle, wondering if he would help her out with something, and invites him to a meet at a small coffee shop, breakfast at tiffany's. Jade Eagle offers him a job, the friends of humanity are building up as a humanis poli club, a reinvention, and they held a big rally in a big warehouse in tacoma. We sent in a spy, and he hasn't reported in yet. he knew some info about some of our people, so if you can stakeout this rally location (warehouse) see if you can see anyone leaving today, see if you can spot him. I may have more work for you later.
JC heads there on his bike, place looks deserted, lots of beer cans, must have been a party. 2 people arrive, one guy with grey skin (Pins but JC doesn't know him), they walk out and get into a car and drive off. all seems quiet. JC is about to leave, then is thrown to the floor in a large explosion, fire spreading thoughout the whole warehouse. the 'friends of humanity' sign falls off - it was an official meeting location.
JC then reports back to Jade Eagle. She tells him that Street Wise is the mans name, he had a co-spy called Hound. Seems Friend Of Humanity were recruiting for something, and she isn't sure what, the message she got suggests they were recruiting the most psychotic metahuman hating element and gave them a free trip to California Free State. Hound says that they are being shipped in to Cal to support the local friends of humanity, and they are party sponsored by Protectorate General Jeiji Saito, who is spouting lots of anti-metahuman rhetoric. Photos show that Colonel Togo Fukumoto is leading the rally.
She then shows him an a/v track: him spouting his anti-metahuman speech etc etc using an extreme pro-metahuman alliance group as a scapegoat, and offering the Friends of Humanity as a 'nightwatch' sort of group. JC spots Myst in the crowd, in a Japanese military uniform. Hound hasn't checked in for the pst 2 days, and she is worried about him, his last mail said he was onto something big, and she wants JC to bring him back with whatever evidence he has. Can JC put together a team, on a budget of 200,000 nuyen.
JC messages with Solitaire and hires her for the job.
Kevin 'The Gerbil' Smith talks to Speedy and Myst, who knows why. Apparently Vinne arranged the meet, he has a job on offer. He wants Speedy and Myst to go to local docks and assist with some expatriates from California, some metahuman peeps that were persecuted by Yakuza.
Myst calls Solitaire, and asks her to meet over at TFI Pete's. Myst explains the past few months to Solitaire. Speedy cuts it short by explaining the evening job. Myst says her sister, Katumari Kawakita has gone back to San Francisco, seemingly working against Saito. Solitaire reports to JC that Myst in in New Orleans, and tells him about her sister in Cal etc..
Team get drunk, JC arrives and joins the team.
Team all head down to the docks.
Speedy does rigging scanning stuff, looking for enemy drones.
It all goes to hell
Myst, Solitaire, Vinnie get a grenade shot at them, and they avoid damage.
Solitaire runs around the container trying to get behind bad guys, Vinnie follows her, Myst turn on her invisible cloak.
Solitaire gets around the corner and takes bullets in the chest for no damage, and grenades the two baddies.
Speedy's drones are flying around, one is doing supressing fire.
JC flies around in the air as an eagle, then dives into one of the containers and stun balls the two bad guys into unconsciousness.
Speedy's drone takes out a land rover, which explodes and crashes into the drone, both things going boom right next to Solitaire who takes a light damage while rolling away putting out flames.
Team get paid 2K each for this job.
Team go and get drunk again.
Myst goes to Ares (who like is from Welcome To California) and they will smuggle us in and out of Cal. He looks up Colonel Togo Fukumoto and tells us he used to work in Yoshi Island, where matahumans were relocated to, he was quite 'effective' in dealing with them, he is in Cal due to reassignment by Saito - he runs some of the terror squads dealing with the MPA. He is stationed at the main barracks. Leader of local chapter of 'Friends of Humanity' is Seizo Ikematsu.
Ares land the team in Silicon Valley. Then are helicoptered over the border in San Fran.
Team witness Japanese squad raid a house and snatch some meats. Then team go to a hotel. During the night the team are attacked. JC and Myst in one room. Speedy and Solitaire in another room. Astral mage and spirit get stun-blatted by JC. 2 orkc's and 1 troll burst into M's and JC's room with guns on them. ditto for S and S's room.
Solitaire manabolts an ork and a troll in a stacked single action, give them both a deadly, and JC stunballs his room of guys after Myst had knocked a few down.
JC and Sol heal the troll and orc and then negotiate with the gang to get the team into San Fran for 5K in, and 5K out. Myst boosts a car, Speedy drives it.
City in curfew, so team car obvious, team break into a house to hide. Someone in the house calls the police, so team run, and helicopters and police cars chase them. Solitaire runs off randomly, Myst runs around randomly, JC turns Speedy and himself into cats, their clothes falling into a pile, along with their equipment.
Myst hits a glass window with distance strike, and throws herself at the window, she splats against it, ouch. Her attempt to break into a house doesn't work, until the glass is shot out by the helicopter trying to hit Myst. Myst then boosts a car. Speeds off with it, but the car is overridden and then Myst is arrested.
The cats head over to Hound's apartment, and JC turns into naked man, and gets caretaker to let him into Hound's apartment. JC takes Speedy cat with him, then drops that spell too. Now two nudes in Hound's place. Speedy dumps Hound's terminal data to his headware memory. Just as they leave Hound's apartment, two guys turn up, though they don't spot Speedy and JC.
Speedy, JC, and Solitaire meet up while Myst gets interrogated in prison.
Speedy and JC go to find Hound, while Solitaire goes to find (jap bloke she knew who employed her and Myst ages ago to pretend to be Myst's sister and bodyguard for a while) trying to find someone to help find/save Myst, etc, but he offers me a guide called Sempai.
Meanwhile the police finally realise Myst is actually Myst's sister and release her with apologies.
Speedy and JC discover that Hound has been captured and sent to some camp, and then S, S, JC and Sempai meet up in a cafe. Myst steals her sister's car and meets up with the rest of the group.
Hound's real name is Sam Keetly, and Sempai attempts to locate him through police contacts. He discovers he was arrested on violations under the fraudulent documents law, and was transferred under authorisation of Colonel Fuck-you-moto and transferred to Fujisawa military prison.
Plan: Myst dressed up in her sister's military uniform, gets Hound transferred to our custody and we do a runner. It works. Team pass out. 5 minutes later team wake up and start an attempted get away.
Hound tell us that Colonel Fuckingmoto is a nut case, and is planning a final solution to deal with metahumans. He has aquired nerve gas and has re-opened military prison at alcatraz and sending metahumans there, probably with the intention to gas them.
Team go to Ares and help out on an attack, kitting up in Ares gear for a daring raid, neutralising the baddies, and rescuing the goodies, and getting out just in time.
Myst chats to her sister Katumari Kawakita who expalins that to clear her debt to Ryumyo she would use her reputation as a renegade to the Kawikita Gumi to gain her favour and allow her to infiltrate the Karatsa Gumi and Saitos forces.
Sempai contacts his guys, who get instructions from Ryumyo to meet them with Myst etc at a place in Silicon Valley.
Colonel Togo Fukumoto is turned over to international war crimes committee.
Jurojin (Ryumyo's head flunky) meets Myst and Sepmai, and says he is pleased, and gives Sempai a message to take back - it says Mysts's sister is back in master's favour (Ryumyo), she as far as you and your family are concerned, do not exists. He gives him something for his trouble. Tells Myst she will hear from him again.
Sol, Myst get 25K each. JC gets 25K. Speedy is given 125K by JC.
Hound's news reports are flashed everywhere. Pressure for international task force to liberate Cal builds.

A few thought
- When your cruising in a stolen car into a city under facist militery law. Check the Curfew times first!!
- Using a 100,000 Nuyens worth of drone on a mission thats only paying 2000 nuyen, can lead to a net loss of revenue.
- Solitare really is a Sociopath (not that I mean that in any perjoritve way of course)
- Its easyer to stroll in and out of a secret internment camp on Alcatraz than it is to sneak into an empty appartment in the Bay area.
- Pro-metahuman liberation organisations can get really snotty when you beat the ' out of one of there ops teams.
- No matter were, no matter when, Mysts stupid familiy and there connection to a very not-stupid Dragon can always be counted on to complicate things.
