Prologue

few weeks since last run

Wendy calls Shade to pay him for last job.

Webb chats to wendy.

Tuesday 26th June 2062, time

Team meet up at Pathfinder's and head out with a beat up van to take out some spirits.


Team bump into Tiny and almost kill him in the building we are going to. Tiny plants some explosives. Bunch of shedim heard behind us, team runs away, and right into a troll-shedim.

Astral Lake wallops Troll-Shedim, but ends up being smacked through a wall. Tiny shoots 2 pistols at the troll-shedim: bullets bounce

Pins covers rear, holding action. Fidelity does nothing. Webb shoots troll-shedim in the head - kills it. Team runs and gets out just before building goes boom.

Spirit attacks Pathfinder - who holds it off. Wraith sends 8 force 8 elementals to sort out the spirit.

Pathfinder asks everyone to meet at 7:30 at the Chateau Blanc for a job.

In the bar across the road Wendy Winters turns up in a slinky black dress also believing she is part of the group. Obviously something is happening between her and Webb. He doesn't want her to be in the run. Pathfinder lets her join.

The group turns up, and manages to get in despite some over zealous security

Herr Schmit of Saeder Krup offers us a job, but only after a hearty lunch. Lake has 12litres of water. He has to visit the toilet.

He offers us 30k nuyen for the group to act as additional security for a warehouse.

As we talk to Herr Schmit a man walks into the room. he seems to have unusual bulges (ding dong). Lake sends one of his water elementals to engulf the mad man.

Pins perceives that he has a bomb and probably a dead man's switch. Tiny decides to knock the madman unconcious.

The madman drowns and Tiny keeps the dead man's switch... dead. Tiny then disarms the bomb and the timer.

Wednesday 27th June 2062, time

Herr Schmit invites us to Pole Position, a bar in Tacoma overlooking the racetrack.

Pins still has the cyberware disabling taser bracelet (very tasteful) thing, and has disabled it so that it looks like it works, but doesn't disable his cyberspur any more.

The group, sans Fidelity, go to Pole Position. Herr Schmit says that they couldn't get any information from the dead man.

Thursday 28th June 2062

Herr Schmit says that he needs a group to protect his Formula 1 team. Last year the F1 league was suspended because of obvious sabotage between teams. Herr Schmit briefs us on the people we'll meet. The manager of Saeder Krupp's F1 team is Largs Granemeyer. And the drivers are Jan Stritzel (1st) and Laus Fedder (2nd). Jan Stritzel has a showbiz perfect marriage to Jasmine Elanda. Head of the team's security is Iain St James, and the chief engineer for the team is Emma Sjoberg.

Wraith, Tiny, Lake - staying at track. Webb, Wendy, Pathfinder, Pins - head over to the warehouse.

Warehouse, big, open plan, few rooms, lots of computer equipment, workbays. 2 cars being stripped and assembled.

26 technical staff, plus drivers for vans of stuff, in warehouse.

Pins is bodyguard duty on Jan Stritzel (no1 driver). Webb and Pathfinder do patrol for the night. Fidelity and Wraith in control room watching monitors for the night.

Friday 29th June 2062

security briefing followed by a ballroom party. Lizzy Mc Knight (reporter for Channel 47) takes shoe off next to Lake, and he offers her a footmassage. Lizzy Mc Knight then chats everyone in our team up - after information - except Fidelity everyone gives her confusing lies. Lizzy Mc Knight leaves, and Pathfinder follows her she gets into car, he comes back. Room shakes as explosion outside, and gunfire raking the front of the building. Spell in astral space blocked by Wraith Terrorists burst into ballroom attacking. 2 sets of 5

Combat pass 1: Pins shoots 1 member of squad 1 who dodges. Fid shoots 4 times, twice at 2 members of squad 1 - does 1 wound. Wraith casts chaos world on squad 1 Webb shoots at someone from the 2nd squad - kills him Someone (squad 1) shoots at Pins, who makes a slight dodge which is sufficient to take no damage and looks cool. Someone (squad 2) shoots Webb - needs to dodge a headwound, he does, with as cool a slight dodge as Pins used. Lake orders 4 water elementals to engulf the 4 left of squad 2 - which they fail to resist. Pathfinder sends ally spirit to warn Tiny. rest of squad 1 shoot and miss.

Pass 2: Pins shoots 2 bursts at 2 members of squad 1 - both splatted. Webb does 2 bursts at squad 1 - kills 2. Fidelity charges last member of squad 1 - h2h combat - hits but doesn't do much damage. Wraith lasers that last member of squad 1 - he dies.

Everyone gets the heck out of there - heading back to hotel. That night Jan sneaks into emma's room for 15mins chat.

Saturday 30th June 2062

Qualifying day:

2nd racer - Lars, does crap. 14th Jan does well, then his car fails - smokes.

Jan receives a call, Pins overhears him telling a strange voice 'yes it is done' We work out that voice was St John.

Pathfinder confronts Emma with evidence she and Jan sabotaged car tell her to fix up the 2nd car for lars, no need for sabotage any more as we will sort out the blackmailer team (aware Lars' car will now be ok) run to bookie's and bet heavily on Lars to come in the top three

Iain St James at security meeting tells us terrorists - GLA global liberation alliance and their leader Jarmen Kell, are responsible for the resturant attack and the ballroom attack.

Sunday 1st July 2062

Wendy drugs St James and takes him to his room so Pathfinder can then bug his phone etc. St John knocks out wendy and Pathfinder, And shoots at ally spirit who dodges. Pf's ally spirit lightning bolts St John - he takes a light. St John goes into melee with ally spirit using his willpower - she takes a serious stun.

Ally spirit flees and finds Fidelity to help. Ally spirit and Fid go to room and see a security mage goinjg in. Ally spirit blows door up and Fid leaps in and shoots Mage 4 times - kills him. St John shoots Fid, she dodges. Fid shoots/kills St John.

rest of security turn up and a bit of a mexican standoff between security and the team.

team drop weapons, then a security guy tries shooting us, and runs off, webb catches him wraith mind probes, man wanted us all dead, he knew about the blackmail by St John

St John == St James

team then talk to their employer about what went on - debrief then go to watch the race

Epilogue

2nd racer wins - team bet on him make 100,000 1st racer comes third.

team get paid and a bonus.

total pay 260K after expenses 230k / 8 = 28,750 each
