Downtime

Saturday 27th March 2062, Seattle, UCAS.

  • Mr Fowler from Boston contacts Shade with a job to find someone.
  • Shade and Pathfinder meet in a bar. Shade is suddenly sober again.
  • Pathfinder calls Control as they worked together in last run (off screen).
  • Team meet in a bar called The Dive in Snohomish
  • Mr Fowler meets the team at 8:00 pm and outlines job. Three corporate execs have gone missing from the Mayflower Park Hotel (Angela Ramsey [Human, female], James Wolf [Human, male, Magician???] and Art O’'Neill [Elf, male]. They worked for Über Braun. Mr Fowler provides team with execs personnel records.
  • Über Braun are opening an new office in Seattle. The three execs where scouting locations and meeting with contractors. Mr Fowler gives team execs itinerary.
  • Control and Second trace Mr Fowler to the Mayflower Park Hotel to check up his story.
  • Shade hacks the Mayflower Park Hotel, downloads the security footage of the Mayflower Park Hotel’s cameras on the floor they are staying, the bar and the car park below to find what happened to the execs as they left the hotel.
  • Pathfinder goes to the hotel room of the execs and searches them. Finds Angela Ramsey’s pocket secretary (suspicious as no password). Shamanic fetishes in James Wolf’s room (is he a mage, Mr Fowler says he isn’t…).
  • The Mole gets his police contact to check the Transponder trace for the execs car and finds that the execs drove the car to several meetings and then drove into Puyallup towards the border. They were followed by an unidentified car. The transponder trace shows the car went into Puyallup and went off the grid.

Sunday 28th March 2062, Seattle, UCAS.

  • Next day team meet. Team retraces the steps of the execs in their hire car.
  • Team finds the car. Pathfinder, Mole, Second and Shade investigate. Control monitors. It has bullet holes in it. Some bikers approach. Control brings van up to the car to protect team. Shade negotiates with gang (Reality Hackers) and pays them 1500 Nuyen for information. Gang tells them that execs were dragged from car buy people in a grey Ford Americar and a Black Citroen van with a white stripe.
  • Shade and Second question the people living in the area. One woman helps describe the kidnappers as Chinese. Two execs got put into the van and one into the car (woman into car).
  • Shade checks the hotels security footage and gets a picture of a Chinese man getting out of the Black Van.
  • Drift arrives with team.
  • Second asks his fixer Honest Joe about the Chinese man. He finds he is a Mr Johnson for Wuxing Inc.
  • The Mr Johnson operates from a club called the Green Lotus which is a hang out for Wuxing Inc. Pathfinder goes in to look for Mr Johnson Finds him and two body guards.
  • A grey Ford Americar approaches. Control tails the car.
  • Mole goes in using his Ruthenium Polymer cloak and sneaks into the bar. He goes into the office and shoots a guy with his Narcoject pistol. He then plants a Data Line tap onto the computer there and puts a smoke grenade into the air conditioning ducts. Sets it off and pulls the fire alarm.
  • Second and Drift are waiting outside and engage the two bodyguards and kills them with small arms fire. They kill one each.
  • The grey Ford America pulls up and two goons get out. Controls van pulls in front of the car deploys a turret and deploys a Ferret RPD-4 drone to engage the goons. Drift kills one with a head shot and Control’s van’s turret kills the second.
  • Second escorts the Wuxing Inc Mr Johnson into Control’s van.
  • Shade interrogates the Mr Johnson. Johnson confirms that the execs were kidnapped by his tam but otherwise is useless.
  • Team hold up with the Knights Of Tarislar and hold Mr Johnson prisoner.

Monday 29th March 2062, Seattle, UCAS.

  • Next day Drift and Pathfinder hire two mages and use ritual samples from execs medical records to track down them. They find them in a house in Everett.
  • Team plans an attack to rescue the hostages at 3 am in the morning.
  • Drift, Pathfinder, Mole, Second and Shade go around the back of the house under concealment from Pathfinder’s City Spirit.
  • Control rolls out his Ferret RPD-4 Drone and pops up the turret on his truck. Simultaneously he launches a HER using the spotter blimp to target the second story back bedrooms with the Battletac FDDM. Also he fires in two mini concussion grenades one from the drone and one from the van through the upstairs and downstairs front windows after blowing the windows out with EX rounds.
  • The Mole blasts the back door with a shotgun blast and Second take point into the room. (I thought he just unlocked the thing - al) A goon is in the kitchen and Second uses quick strike to fire off his Ruger super warhawk at the guy who dodges behind the kitchen counter. The rest of the team move in.
  • Control launches an AVR and takes out one of the goons patrolling vehicles.
  • Shade goes to the front room and dispatches the two semi stunned goons using a CMDT shotgun. Securing the hostage in that room.
  • Drift battles with a Ward protecting the house and takes it down and is targeted by a spell from the upstairs window but resists it with spell defense.
  • Pathfinder and the Mole proceed up the stairs. The Mole moves slowly but Pathfinder rushes up. The goon upstairs shoots a hostage and then tries to shoot Pathfinder who dodges and with out any skill uses an Alpha Combat Gun to blast the guys arm off, who then collapses in a heap of blood.
  • Drift uses his Remington Room Sweeper shotgun to blast the mage through the window. The house is clear.
  • All through this Control co-ordinates with small unit tactics through Battletac.
  • Drift comes back to the van reloads an AVR into the launcher and Control nukes the second enemy patrol vehicle.
  • Epilogue. Team manages to get one hostage out alive. One is dead and one is not their. They take one of the goons who is still alive (- his hand), the Wuxing Inc Mr Johnson and the hostage exec (Angela Ramsey) who was rescued and turn them over to Mr Fowler.
  • After expenses team earn 100,000 Nuyen in total that’s 14,800 Nuyen each after expenses plus a slap up meal at Nukem burger.

Tuesday 30th March 2062, Seattle, UCAS

  • Run Ends, characters recover from hangovers.
