  • Mr Johnson arrives wearing an Expensive Suit. Shade suggests mugging him and selling the suit. Others dismiss this.
  • We all take a seat. We get the impression the Mr Johnson is nervous.
  • We are asked to find a Carl Sanchez and escort him to a location.
  • We are shown a picture of him, an old picture taken in 2033 (looks about 14). He is an ork.
  • Wants us to be subtle. He is to be unharmed, nor should we mistreat him.
  • We have to take him to Renton Bus Station. He can be drugged. He is not awakened, nor trained.
  • He is in an Apartment Building in a nice area Redmond.
  • Offers 4000nuyen each
  • Offers an additional 100% if there is "trouble".
  • It is agreed
  • Gives us a contact number
  • Carl Sanchez now 43
  • Shade decks in and starts about aging the picture.
  • We're offered more drink. We keep drinking.
  • Shade searchs for the guy on the Matrix and his apartment block. He finds a rough layout of the apartment blocks

on the builders site, including the security.

  • Dante asks us not to deck from his club. We decide to head off. Shade asks we drive off somewhere else. He doesn't

want to leave his car here (the beat up, dented Ameri Car). We go in Pins' Land Rover.

  • We go to Shade's home. We enter into a High Rise block and go in to the basement. We walk under the road, and Blaze

feels nervous - something bad happened here. Shade informs us that someone who ate his Flat Mates lived next door. An area of cold seeps out from around the door. Blaze resists the urge to open the door. Blaze swears she'll never visit here again. Shade's room has a nice sickly alchol smell here. It's quite discusting.

  • As Blaze and Pins go to leave the lights go off in the corridor. Blaze guides Pins to the stairs, and notices that

some stairs also go down to a Sub Basement. She goes up.

  • Shade searches for Carl Sachez and finds a link to Dunk's Will- Carl was left a small token of his appreciation.
  • Shade decks into the hoome of Carl Sanchez and looks throgh the cameras.
  • Blaze and Pins dare each to go downstairs to sub-basement. As they head up, a zombie claws it's way through a wall

and heads towards them. Pins shootrs a burst (Savlette Guardian) and clips the zombie, rounds hitting the walls ignite the basement and it explodes. Pins grabs Blaze and runs out with her.

  • Team head to Carl Sanchez's and Shade opens backdoor via decking. They get lift up. On the relevant floor they meet a

dwarf (Hamish Mc Handles) fixing a fuse box.

Monday 8th May 2062, 2pm

  • Pins tries maglock passkey on the correct door, fails.
  • Shade tries to hack into Carl's own wireless telecom unit, and manages to get in as a security user. But he has no

access to the lock, and tries to validate as super user. He succeeds and opens door.

  • Team head in, musty alcholoic smell. Lovely luxurious place.
  • Shade disables the voice recognition system after responding to the computer's request to modify room temperature.
  • Shade undeletes the system (it had all been wiped) and determines Carl last left the apartment on Saturday 6th.
  • Team search the apartment. Blaze spots an aura from waste disposal unit. Team get messy, and discover a small amulet.
  • Just as team leave, Carl receives visitors.. team just manage to avoid him.
  • Shade decks in and sees, In lobby man with trenchcoat (British guy) - picture taken, and from tapes another 4 men

spotted.

  • Team checks Carl's files that they copied, find massive bank balance, and recent withdrawal of certified cred sticks.
  • He has a normal account, but massive balance is in a financial holding company - Bellvue Financial Investments
  • He recently visited Wards R Us matrix site, and checked property pages.
  • Shade checks recordings of the other group going to Carl's and he sends footage to Mr Sommers to try and work out

what's going on: fee 500 upfront.

  • Shade decks property companies (that he visited) and we narrow possibilities to Pullyup and Redmond (Paula Redgrave -

from an apartment, Martin Smith -telecom unit redmond), 2 places that paid using certified cred rather than real id. He edits the records to list them as hired with real ids and not certified credsticks.

  • Shade hacks records and gets us an apartment 2 floors up from 'Martin Smith'

Monday 8th May 2062, 7pm

  • Team head to new apartment, and pay local gang a protection fee for the car.
  • Blaze is in van as Shade and Pins check out their own apartment.
  • Blaze spots the enemy mage (British guy), and she spots the Ork getting snatched. She follows in Pins' van.
  • Pins/Shade check out Carl Sanchez's apartment, it was warded, lots of empty bottles, possibly explaining Carl's trip

out - perhaps restocking.

  • Shade and Pins 'bribe' the gang to find a car they are not protecting - and steal a form american. Driving to meet

Blaze, pausing to let a zombie out of the boot.

  • Team all get back together at the place where rival team have got Carl. Their team is: 3 trench coats, 1 decker

(female), 1 'mage'

Monday 8th May 2062, 9pm

  • Shade decks the rivals apartment block, and locates their apartment.
  • Shade receives call from Mr Sommers, he has ID trace on the rivals from the pictures we gave him, Mr Cadwell -

operative for yamatetsu North america. he's a corp security mage. fee additional 500.

  • Shade sees through cameras, that Mr Cadwell has left, driving off with eurocar westwind. Then another one of the suits

heading out, visits quickie mart.

  • Team decide to take that opportunity to head in.
  • Shade decks in to control cameras, and is almost spotted by enemy decker, just manages to avoid her.
  • Shade doesn't spot her either.
  • Shade opens backdoor, disables panic buttons, and loops cameras.
  • Pins on point, team head to 17th floor, then walk down to 15th floor.
  • Team fail to spot camcoreder before it spots them.
  • Fire elemental (bad) shimmersd in corridor.
  • Pins runs down corridor, as Elemental starts attacking Blaze.
  • Blaze fights the Fire Elemental, and barely shrugs off the attack.
  • Pins arrives at the end of the corridor, turns around and watches the door.
  • Goon 1 opens the door, Pins fires a burst at the door, and misses.
  • Goon replies with a shoot of his own at Pins. Another goon appears at the door, but cannot shoot past his fellow good.
  • Shade takes a couple of steps and shoots his shotgun at the Goons in the doorway. He misses.
  • Blaze commands three elementals to attack the Fire Elemental infront of him, and three to attack the people in the

room who aren't the guy they want, nor any of his own team. Also they should kill any mage there first.

  • The elementals all manifest.
  • Two of the elementals (Alpha, Beta) attack and destroy the elemental. Gamma has nothing to do.
  • Delta, Epslion and Phi move to the door.
  • Pins fires a burst at Goon 1 using EX Explosive rounds. It hits and does some damage. He shoots again and hits,

killing him in a gooey mess.

  • Goon 2 shoots at Pins, who dives into cover avoiding the rounds, which slice off the corner of the corridor.
  • Pins gets backup, walks around the corner and fires at the Goon, killing him.
  • Screams are heard from in the room as the elementals engulf, the Company Man & Decker. The sprinkler systems go off.

We drag the unconcious ork to the van. We take the Micro Cameras and head back to the van.

agrees to pay use 6000 nuyen for info from the Ork on why Mr Cadwell wants him.

  • We wake up Carl Sanchez and question him.
  • Mr Cadwell was curious to know why people were after him
  • He says that when he was 14 a strange guy came up to him and said we'll give you a million nuyen if we can bind a

spirit for one year, so it could live as him. To learn what it was like to be in his situation. She was a powerful spirit who didn't have much respect for humanity and he did it to teach her a lesson. He bound her for the year, and she couldn't do anything, apart from experience it.

  • Mr Cadwell pulled the memory from his mind.
  • Group finds out that Mr Cadwell wanted the true name of the spirit - Butter Cup. He can use this information he can

bind, neutralising her.

  • Group phones Mr Johnson and tells him what he knows. he offers an additional 30k, which is 40k for each person.

Mr Johnson finds out Mr Cadwell has access the companies magical library. Mr Johnson will only pay if we can stop Mr Cadwell binding her.

  • Team head to where Mr Cadwell is, warehouse, 6 watchers and 6 fire elementals guarding the place.

plan

  • Shade shoots gate lock, team van drive through, Blaze grenades Warehouse and team drive through the wall/door with van.
  • Team shooting from van.

execution of plan

  • shot gate, van skid, blaze blows warehouse doors, pins drives through, see mage inside physical barrier.
  • pins fires 2 bursts (Sav Guard) through barrier, he uses combat pool and karma to dodge.
  • shade takes 2 shots with combat shotgun, first 'hits' and scatters away, second burst 'hits' with 2 to the chest, 12S

damage, soaked by his armour.

  • van then hits barrier which takes moderate damage
  • Mr Cadwell tries to bind Buttercup - and fails
  • van stopped when hitting barrier, and so Pins doesn't need to do a control test.
  • Pins takes a burst, rolls 3sixes on 3 damage dice, killing him.
  • Blaze loots a rating 6 conjuring foci

Buttercup is pleased to have been rescued in the nick of time, but says that we should not be allowed to remember what happened, and waves her hand in front of our eyes, and we fall unconcious. She wipes the minds of the whole team, and they wake up in a hotel. the next day 1pm in Seattle hilton.
