Description:

A tough easy-going Troll, working as a “Freelance Peacekeeping Agent” to keep his adopted human daughter Misty in tuition fees and spell components at an expensive school for the magically gifted. Specializes in subject retrieval from ‘complicated’ situations and providing heavy backup. Extremely protective and loyal to his friends, but equally intolorant towards those that he deems a professional liability (or just retarded). Always tries to 'do the right thing' and add ever more contacts to his books as he aspires towards becoming a reputable fixer.

Background:

Gard grew up as a Troll to Human parents and followed in his father's footsteps as a Lone Star Detective, and was well-respected in the field. He quit the job after his partner was killed by an up-and-coming Yakuza thug and has been trying to track down the killer ever since. Unfortunately he didn't get a good look at the attacker due to a surprise hit by a suriken which split his right eyebrow and cheek, covering his face with blood. Since then he has been reluctant to have the scar removed as a reminder of his obligation to avenge his partner. He also adopted his ex-partner's daughter Misty and took on the responsibility of paying for her tuition fees at a School for the Magically Gifted. Gard often performs favours such as retreiving kidnapped students (hell, alot of the parents are very rich) or locating hard-to-find spell components for the school's headmistress, Wanda Praisal, in return for when he can't pay the bills. Gard has a long-running on-off relationship with Donna Breastplate, a buxom trollish brunette and extremely competent and energetic armourer. His shadowrunning career began when he found himself low on cash, naturally falling into the role of Bounty Hunter through his many remaining contacts from his Lone Star days. He now uses his broad range of skills and abilities towards becoming a fully-fledged Fixer.

  • Charismatic part-time fixer with many and varied contacts
  • Combat and Demolitions
  • Security Systems

Character Notes:

Shares an abandoned apartment building with Pathfinder and JC in Knights Of Tarislar gang territory in Puyallup. Is currently scouting and outfitting a small team of Orks for use on 'simple' background runs and to use as security in the apartment building. Is looking to buy and develop the building's internal structure to have an underground garage / maintanence area, the Orks living on the ground floor, and Medium+ lifestyle in the upper floors. Is also incorporating security systems into the building to provide a single safe route from ground level to the top floor (other routes will be booby-trapped), as well as escape routes from the roof of the building. Has a habit of keeping large quantities of ammunition and explosives in his fridge.

Known Associates:

Characters - Pathfinder, JC, and Shade.
Personal Contacts - Donna Breastplate, Wanda Praisal, Mandy Cannon, Wendy Belle-Tolls, Tracey Origin, and Sonya Tab.
Other Contacts - Mr Fowler.

Career Highlights:

  • Evaporated *all* the bad guys at the start of Boxing Dracula by shooting a Grand dragon missile into the back of their truck as they stopped to pick up the cargo we were supposed to steal from them later on. (At least I assumed they were the bad guys - Stuart didn't look very happy [^ ^]).
