Quicksilver meanders down to New Orleans on a brief holiday, sent by Mark and told to ask for someone called Myst.
Solitaire, Myst and Speedy are in the corner chatting. Quicksilver pops over, and buys a round after introducing himself and saying he was sent by Mark.
Madam Du Ponte (Erin Lahauve) walks in and wants to talk.
High class fixer in Europe (Pembroke) is looking for out of town employees for a highly dangerous, and complicated mission.
Mission in Prague, for 400K - but make our own travel arrangements.
Fixer on site Khrychek - he can get us stuff. Works in some pub there 'happy goblin'
Safe house close to border of Poland in Carpatian mountains, in Brunna.
200K upfront - team are blinded by money and take the deal.
Monday 11th June
plan travel arrangements, and spend a few days sightseeing
Thursday 14th June
Pop into 'happy goblin' and spot to russian mafia chaps trying to shake down the barman for protection money.
Speedy uses excellent social skills to try and locate Krychek.
We buy lots of gear from Krychek.
We then drive to the safehouse.
A warded area in one of the rooms upstairs, with a laptop. Speedy plugs in and something happens.
Speedy comes out and says that Gabriel asks if we want to take the job. If so, person going in can't come out til the run starts.
Team agree.
Then Speedy steps back in.
Speedy is told what the run is, but can't brief the team beyond saying it is an extraction, and keeps everyone waiting for several days. But sends them to buy tear gas, and breaching charges. There is something about the run that if it is known by anyone outside the ward, there is an increased risk of some unfathomable kind. Then she asks people to step inside the circle to be briefed, but Solitaire refuses and goes downstairs to wait in ignorance.
Time for the run happens, then Solitaire is told that the mission is to rob an expert diviner, and the ward blocks divination.
Drive to near the place, then hike.
During hike, attacked by humongous magically protected wolves.
Wolves introduced to the wonderful world of neurostun 10. Unconciouse wolves shot in head.
Set off an alarm ward entering the place, and Solitaire mana bolts a watcher that comes to watch. Move upstairs, and grenade combat with a few mages.
A tortured mage tells us where the vault is, and we go down. Myst steps through an illusionary wall and is hit by an anchored lightning bolt.
Then 4 skeltons in armour clank towards the opening.
Solitaire gets 4 force 8 elementals to destroy the ward then go in and destroy the shedim infested skeletons.
Head into next room, and can't take the ward down, so Solitaire stays behind as Myst, Quicksilver and Speedy head in and fight the blood elementals.
Fight through some other rooms, come across a vault, open it, survive an anchored lightning bolt.
Inside the vault is: a long sword in a scabard that exists in astral space. 4 scroll cases a couple of small boxes: amulet (power focus), another focus long metal stick with ruby on the end
Myst picks up the stuff, and one of the things releases the spirit of Professor Novak to possess her. all mixed up with people becoming each other...
