Despite the thousands of nuyen the treatment cost, the room was painted in the same blinding white colour as almost every other hospital he'd ever been in. Beep. Beep. Beep. He wondered if the old man could hear the sound. The best doctors on the Island had examined him time and again, and their answer... To place him in a medically induced coma... Until they could work out how to restore the damage. Beep. Beep. Beep. Alzheimers, stroke, dementia, post traumatic syndrome, each doctor had a new idea but so far none had any answers. Beeeeep Beeeeep bebe Beeeeep. Something different, no, just his comlink with a new message. A virtual postcard formed in mid air in from of him and spun over to reveal sharp text. "Yellow Orchid Restaurant offers a free fortune cookie to all customers. Ones own future is in the minds eye, while trust is a commodity of ones own past". Another piece of virtual junk he made the motion with his hand to trash the card... then paused.
