Somei was a loyal follower of Jubei and accompanied his boss on numerous runs, that is until his final mission.

Released the free spirit Bouncer.

Whilst on a run in New York to recover Jubei's Oyabun's daughter, due to the actions of Myst Somei was left abandoned in New York without his money, magical gear or any mundane equipment. He then finds out that her actions lead to the death of his boss and personal friend. Somei is more than slightly mad at Myst.
