Skill Softs
Skillsofts are preprogramed skills availible on optical datachips, they come in two main varietys
Actisofts which are physical skills, everything from heavy weapons to dancing. Becuase Actisofts interface with the users body they require Skillwires to use. There are also Knowsofts, these are pure data skills such as scientific theory or geographys and do not require a skillwire. Skillsofts are often further divided into subcatagorys such as Linguasofts or Drive Softs.
It was an attempt to overcome the limits of Skillsoft technologys which was the driving force behind the Ghostwalker project. Skillsofts are also abused in the developement of certain forms of BTLChip.
