Notes by Pins

Prologue

Shade hasn't heard from Wendy since he molested her. Webb hasn't been in contact with anyone for ages since he went out of town on a job.

Day 1

4am Pins' phone rings. He answers the phone.. says fuck off, hangs up, it rings again, he picks it up and throws it across the room. Shade's phone rings, he answers, it is Mr Nakumoto (from Finding Yoshi) - he wants to meet the team in the hour at the wanatabi building. Shade rings JC to summon to the meet at the apple and pears pub. Shade calls Pins, and Mole, for same. GM wastes time explaining nonsense about the pub. Pins changes colour to match the seat. JC hmmms to himself about Pins.

Team head out from pub in Pins' van to Wanatabi.

On way there, they see a big hole in the Wanatabi building, fire, glass blown out. Firemen arguing to try and get in, but being held back by arguments of extra territoriality.

Team get let in by security, and go up to meet Mr Nakumoto.

Their wonderful new data thingy got smashed and slagged and boomed along with any backups. A second device is defused... a weird sprinkler explosive system.. a high temperature burning plasma, an FAE type bomb. UCAS Military issue. FADID - fuel air delivered incendiary device. used as a high burning device. designed for safely disposing of nerve agents/gases in emergency situations. Quite rare.

A security chap comes up and says: one of the dead security guards isn't one of ours.. got shot in the back by a real guard who was shot but not killed straight away.

Guy has a finger missing, Yakuza, but was shot by a calibre not logical with the guy we believed shot him, also not much blood. He was perhaps killed elsewhere, and dumped here to mislead/misdirect. Team take forensic evidence.

They talk amongst themselves about renraku having a motive. Mole overhears. Team then hired to recover data.. find out who did it, etc.

Team are offered 50K upfront, then 200K after. Shade says team only want 10K upfront. Team beat the shit out of him.

Team get a night porter to check the 24 hour buffer memories of the maglocks, to work out who went back and forth. They find a lab worker (Ayna) came in at 2:45am, but can't find a record of her leaving. find out what car she drives, then head down to talk to Karl the car park attendant. find a log of her car arriving at 2:45ish Karl is ranting about a car being parked in the wrong space, the right place has another car in, the woman's car, wrong model car, but correct plates.. obviously a fake.

Mole cracks and opens the lock, the car smells new. Shade gets the transponder number. Peroxide blond hair on the headrest foound by Pins.

6amish Team head to Breakfast at Tiffany's

Shade meets a police-contact and gets Ayna's address: 107 Wilmott Place (towerblock in renton)

8am team go to woman's address.

Evidence suggests she hit a blonde intruder over the head with a lamp. Place is ransacked and she is missing. Her terminal has her sisters number, so she might be there. Shade rings Dr Faulkes wanting his ritual sourcery help. Lone Star turn up, flashing light outside.. team bug out leaving Mole in ruthenium polymers.

Shade gets a call from his contact, fingerprints of dead Yak identified as a known named Yak, and organised crime chap (Shagida Gumi).

Postman visits the block of the sister, Pins, Shade, JC follow him in and head to the 10th floor. Pins and Shade speak to woman, she thinks Shade and Pins are cops. After talk, a man breaks in with machine gun, Pins kills him. he is caucasian - we take his gun and phone and maglock passkey. Shade whines about Pins always killing people they want to talk to. Shade hacks the phone comapny to get a record of phone calls. Mole gets info from Sanchez.

Team go for a pub lunch at the pub that Shade triangulated a phone number from the records to. There they see a peroxide blond Jap. He's with 3 guys. 3 are cybered (2 heavily the peroxide and a troll), the lightly cybered ia a woman, one magical guy.

JC stunballs the whole pub, and team takes the 4 to an abandoned warehouse for interrogation. Troll is wrapped with monofilament, he is told this but still tries to get up, and slices himself topieces. Team find out that a cyberdeck, and all the stuff is in their van back at the bar. And they are due to meet their johnson at 12.

Team collect the stuff. Then plan to meet the enemy's Johnson and kidnap him.

Plan: Pins wears Mole's cloack and hides in a bush 40m away. Mole disguised as peroxide Jap to meet johnson, he will stun him, and kidnap him as team cover his escape. Pins is told NOT to shoot the Johnson, because they want him alive.

Pins in a bush. Shade in van. Mole (disguised) approaches Johnson. Mole quickdraws, but doesn't surprise Johnson. Johnson draws faster than Mole. JC has higher reaction and so stunballs the pair. Johnson's mage provides spell defense which partially defeats the spell (mole to 10 stun plus 1 overflow). Pins shoots past the Johnson's head to try and distract him (because he has been told not to shoot him, but can't seem to win as someone then moans about Pins not shooting the Johnson), but the Johnson's action is already declared and he takes a called shot to Mole's head. Mole burns a point of team karma to get 7 successes (needing 9) hoping for lucky scatter. And gets the luck, no hits, no damage. Mole narcojets and knocks Johnson out.

Mole spots a distant bad guy and points him out, then a water elemental attacks Mole and sends him to 1 point of physical overflow. JC and Pins spot 2 new guys turning up.

JC manaballed and took out the non-mage. Pins shoots the mage. Pins spots the hidden in trees bloke, who tries to spot Pins in return - and fails, wasting 2 simple actions.

JC spots the sniper, and circles around to get better angle of attack.

Pins shoots sniper twice, he starts running lick fuck, and JC mana bolts him. JC loots the mage. Team get into van with Johnson, Shade biotechs Mole, JC treats.

JC casts compel truth, and he reveals he works for Mitsuhama. And he gives a name of a research scientist inside Wanatabi.

Call Yakomoto and invite him down, and we tell him all, show him video playbacks, and give him the files and hardware.

Epilogue

Paid a total of 300K plus 10K they found on blondie. Also got blondie guy's GMC bulldog courier van, w/ antitheft system with electro. no other mods.

In news, hear of gunfight in park, ducks distrubed, and Mitsuhama pull out of a trade deal, breaking a contract and have to pay reparations to Wanatabi matrix services, who make a deal with Renraku and release a super powerful server, elevating Wanatabi to a serious corporation.

Team get 77.5K nuyen each.

Shade gets a call, and is offered mainframe server time for programming, and is told that the scientist was trying to date somene, had stolen and cloned her card, and in clearing their tracks they had tried to assassinate her, which team had foiled.

Shade passes on to Yakuza where the Mafia are sending people for medical work (giving Wendy's new clinic address). They recognise Wendy, say she has been seen in public with Mafia peeps.

Mole's cyberware damage get fixed by them.

Wendy calls Shade: Help me, I am in trouble. Shade goes round, goes into her place. Sees a guy lying on the floor, kitchen knife stuck in him. It might be Mafia bloke. Car pulls up outside, Shade pulls out a shotgun, and goes out the backdoor. They chase after him, shouting that he's killed the boss. (Wendy set Shade up, what a SUCKER!) Shade gets away.

Shade calls Pins, they meet at the apple and pears. He moans about Wendy. Says he had a one night stand, and now she's set him up.

Wendy calls Mole, she asks for help, she wants to stay with him. He gives her a place to live. Needles calls Pins, says there is a Mafia hit out on someone called Shade, price is 200K. Mr Mitsumoto calls, wanting to meet shade in 1 hour. Shade turns up, compel truth on him, and he relates the whole story to him. Saying the Mole is helping her. Pins then gets a call from Needles saying there's a 50K bounty on Mole being taken alive.

Wendy calls Mole, and he tells her about the bounties.

Shade hack the call to find Wendy's location, Shade and Pins drive there. She has gone by the time they get there. Com terminal still left on, she left in a hurry, taking anything of value. In sent calls, is a message she sent, to Biggio, saying hahaha, I killed blah and his bit on the side, haha, signed shade. Decker in the system using cameras, so Shade and Pins might have been spotted.

Needles calls Pins, says mob war has started, Mafia bombing Yaks.

Shade runs away - lots.
