When Commissione in Chicago saw the Yakuza threatened to overrun the Finnigan Family and Seattle the Don of the Finnigan Faily and Capo of Seattle Patrick Finnigan was replaced by James O'Malley son of the famous Brain O'Malley. This in fact did turn around the fate of the Seattle Mafia. James o'Malley was assasinated in 2057, and Rowena O'Malley his only child was appointed his successor by the Commissione. The move had fierce opposition from Patrick Finnigan's aunt Mary Finnigan who wanted Patrick Finnagan's son James Michael Finnigan to take over, even though Patrick Finnigan actually supported Rowena O'Malley in her position.
