CSI Report on the homicide of Jack Newman

Condition of Victim

Subject was found with a 30 cm carving knife from the subject’s kitchen imbedded into the heart. From the angle of the knife thrust the attacker was shorter than the victim and the victim was turning towards the attacker indicating the attacker snuck up behind him. The single knife wound resulted in near instant death due to heart failure and blood loss. No finger prints or other forensic samples were recovered from the blade, although a tissue was found next to the body indicating the assailant may have wiped the knife. Time of death is place at around 6.00 pm on the 27th of September 2062.

Evidence from Surroundings

None of the entrances to the house showed signs of breaking and entering. Apart from the subjects own personal effects the following objects were found.

Woman’s Coat: On rack. Woman’s Handbag and assorted effects: On side board in room. Mobile phone: Mobile phone contained a variety of numbers but only had a very low level of charge remaining in its battery. The numbers were traced and only one number is unaccounted for that of a disconnected mobile phone. The phone belonged to an Anna Daniels a doctor at the Aphrodite Clinic.
