Before Game Downtime

Stephen makes it clear to GM he wants to spend karma on buying up a few things - never actually says what assuming he can work out the costs later from home - then has the dichotomy that at the end of the session he has no karma to spend due to using the Hand Of God rule - and is wondering if the GM will still let him spend the karma that he was using for stuff he was learning/improving before the game started.

Prologue by Evil GM

  • Webb has just arrived in New Orleans from the Russian Federation. Having been stuck in a Russian Federation prison camp for a few months after being captured in a run gone bad in Poland (working for Polish freedom fighters), Webb has finnaly been busted out of gulag. Luckily for him the leader of his team, Sarge' (who didn't make it) took out a runner insurance policy with new fixer on the block Maclaine's start up company Assets Insured. Maclaine hired a team to break him out of gulag and bring him back. Now he's back in the game Maclaines assistant Mm Du Ponte has a new job offer for him...

Prologue

Jesse receives a call asking him to meet at the Free Coffee Republic - caller knew his real name - which worries him. Jesse goes there - orders an exotic coffe - then gets hired by Mr Johnson to do some investigative work. He is taken to the Seattle General Hope Hospital where he is shown to a hospital room containing a young (half asian - half caucasian) woman (Karen Mac Mannis)who was assaulted.

She was kidnapt from the 1170 Nightclub on the 17th of Febuary and was found the next day in an alley way with by the police next to her phone which had dialled 911. The kidnappers had surgically removed both of her eyes and her kidney, but left her in a good condition to live. They also gave her a does of Liase to wipe her memory.

The Johnson doesn't believe the local police will be able to bring effective justice (especialy as the crime is GBH and not attempted murder - and so she wants professional help. Jesse is given contact details for Pins who has worked for the Johnsons empolyer before - but he won't remmeber it.

Also the Johnson gives the doctor looking after her (Dr David Finn) a certified credstick from his employer to cover her medical expences.

Jesse gets 10K upfront - 50% of final fee. 20K upfront for expenses, and 100K expenses to hire other people to be paid on completion.

Johnson tells Jesse he can find Pins at he Apple And Pears pub - or his associate Shade.

Jesse calls Pins - leaves answerphone message.

The Mole gets a call from his CSI contact saying Wendy's body along with others in a morgue have gone missing.

Meanwhile in New Orleans

Mme Du Ponte assistant fixer to Maclaine hires Speedy, Webb and Kelly to rescue Stepin Node who was sent to infiltrate the Zobop organised crime syndicate.

The Zobop had cleared out of New Orleans after Don Ginelli chased them out of town, and seem to have moved the Seattle.

Speedy, Webb and Kelly are given tickets to Seattle

Day 1 20th Febuary 2063

Pins calls Jesse - and invites him down to the Apple And Pears where he has a backroom hired out.

Jesse heads down and buys a tray of drinks - and brings them with him to the backroom.

Jesse outlins the job - The Mole comes into the backroom and joins the chat.

Webb heads back to his old apartment - which has been stripped of fittings and furnishings - and has squatters - and all his gear has gone. He tries quizzing the super who pulls the classic 'Are those trolls looking for you?' line and runs away. Webb catches up and interrogates him - and finds out the block is 'owned' by a mob guy - Frankie.

Speedy calls JC while Webb 'arranges' his new apartment.

Shade calls JC about the job.

Teams gets a list of the seven bodies snatched from morgue. And the six people who were assaulted, liased, and had bodyparts taken.

Team do some general investigation.

All affected people were insured by Medi Care an medical insurance company (subsidiary of Doc Wagon) - whose target market is the lower end - and cheap/minor stuff.

Shade hacks into the Medi Care database. He finds that someone has been creating user ID's and then using those ID's to search the database for targets, then wiping the user ID. After searching the database Shade finds their next target/victim: Hillary Jacobs an unemployed single mother who lives in a towerblock in Renton.

Team pile around there - and leave Jesse to knock on her door.

He starts chatting her up - pretending to also have a five year old son.

Jesse spends the night in a room two doors down. The Mole, Webb and Kelly grab a room two floors up. Speedy, Pins and Shade in van downstairs. JC flies around.

Jesse and Hillary go out - and visit the job centre. Team follow around.

Hillary collapses in supermarket - a doctor is there - he calls a paramedic and an ambulance turns up to take her. Pins pretends to be her husband to go with her - and travels with them in the back.

Speedy, Jesse and Shade follow in Pins' Land Rover.

The "Doctor" starts to ask Pins some enquiring questions and then attacks Pins with a scalpel, his friends grabbing Pins to let the man slit Pins' throat - and 'kill' him.

Pins uses Hand Of God to stay alive.

Webb, Kelly and JC pick up The Mole - and head to the building the 'ambulance' has arrived at.

JC powerballs the doors - and Speedy drives on through, everyone diving out the back doors except for The Mole who is looking for another way in.

Kelly shoots two guys. Jesse shoots four times and misses a guy.

The Mole kicks in the back door, and throws a neurostun grenade through, into the room. The guy in the room flees back into the building.

Webb Dodges two shotgun bursts.

Kelly shot another guy.

Webb opens up on a guy with full auto. The target is hit by a round and dies.

JC casts invisibility on himself.

A bad guy trys to throw a grenade but Jesse shots him and he drops the grenade, blowing himslef and the ambulance up (dramatic momement... was Pins in the Ambulance???).

JC walks into the back room and gets attacked by a mage - and shields himself successfully. In the room with the mage is another man (The "Doctor") with two scalpels. JC manabolts the mage and kills him. The "Doctor" with scalpels throws one at JC - and he dodges. JC stunballs the "Doctor" and knocks him out.

The Mole finds Hillary strapped to a table - with an incision in her chest and Pins on the floor in the corner apparently dead but just about alive.

The Mole takes Pins to his streetdoc, followed by Webb.

Shade takes the "Doctor" to abandoned warehouse for interrogation. His ID claims he is Joe Sanchez. The "Doctor" is a psycho who seems to be immune to pain. He starts talking (although he only does this because he knowns he'll die and he thinks the group will find the information interesting - the guy is a bit nutts) - and mentions that Papa Moubassa, a Zobop gang boss has been organising the entire operation. Speedy says Vinni Vincinni killed this Papa Moubassa character in New Orleans. Jesse and Webb promise not to kill they guy for the information.

He says that Stepin Node is with Papa Mubassa - number 1087 a mansion in Tacoma. Shade pulls a gun to kill the prisoner. Webb and Kelly pull guns on Shade. JC shoots prisoner to defuse the standoff.

Shade does some investigation on the property, so does Mole. Property is owned by Jack Newman - a Mafia guy - the one Wendy killed. Property is currently owned by Karl Newman.

Speedy sends a drone in and spots tons of zombies in the grounds of the mansion.

Shade attempts to persuade the team that Carl Newman needs to be killed. Everyone disagrees.

Don Ginelli calls Speedy and tells him thet the property used to be leased out - and since Carl Newman tookover he cancelled the leased and let it out to some out of town guys - and Carl has been seen talking to some jamaican types.

Team argue about what to do - so JC wanders off and phones the police, who send in 16 SWAT guys.

Shade finds out after that SWAT killed everyone in there - probably including Stepin Node.

Papa Mubassa escaped.

Epilogue

Jesse pays 25K to The Mole, Shade and Pins. Jesse divided 10 doses of liase between himself and Speedy
