Beep. Beep. Beep. The sharp sound beat out a steady rhythm. Beep. Beep. Beep. The sound echoed of the bear sterile walls of the hospital. Despite the thousands of nuyen the treatment cost, the room was painted in the same blinding white colour as almost every other hospital he'd ever been in. Beep. Beep. Beep. He wondered if the old man could hear the sound. The best doctors on the Island had examined him time and again, and their answer... To place him in a medically induced coma... Until they could work out how to restore the damage. Beep. Beep. Beep. Alzheimers, stroke, dementia, post traumatic syndrome, each doctor had a new idea but so far none had any answers. Beeeeep Beeeeep bebe Beeeeep. Something different, no, just his comlink with a new message. A virtual postcard formed in mid air in from of him and spun over to reveal sharp text. "Yellow Orchid Restaurant offers a free fortune cookie to all customers. Ones own future is in the minds eye, while trust is a commodity of ones own past". Another piece of virtual junk he made the motion with his hand to trash the card... then paused. This was his secure private office link, no junk should be able to message this unit, only someone who knew this number could...

God I needed a stim or a BTL or something, so I head out to speak to Rei, the dealer that replaced the now sadly deceased Jazz, actualy theres nothing sad about Jazz death, i would have topped the bastard myself if I hadnt been beaten to it. But Rei, Rei was an ok guy for a pusher and a petty criminal at least. Note the past tense, Rei has been turned from a a reasonble priced dealer to a cheap corpse, his throat slit and his body left in a dumpster, stripped of everything of value except his expensive shoes. I dragged him out, look the body over and notice a black flower stuffed in his mouth. thinking about it I realised an imporant fact, Rei had the same sized feet as me!
