Worked as a LoneStar Detective for 8 Years. His partner, Detective Frank Geiger disappeared and he was framed for his death (and shot in the Back). He is now hunted by LoneStar as a Cop Killer, but managed to hire a Decker to trash all of his records. Turns out his Partner was on the take and working for the Mafia - and Sam found out too much so had to be taken care of - by shooting him in the back. Sam survived but on the run. Although divorced, he is still in contact with his wife Lynn Ward (and his teenage Daughter Faith) and he still sends them money and stays in contact via a burner com link.
